Your contact details:

In order to complete your conveyance, we will need to collect your name, address, email, telephone & fax number. This information will be used to:

1. Contact you about your file
2. Lodge ‘change of ownership’ forms with government departments
3. Talk to other parties regarding your contract eg. your financier, building inspector, other side’s solicitor, agent.

Date of birth

We will ask you for your date of birth to complete the ‘change of ownership’ forms that we lodge with the Titles Office.

Finance details

If you have a mortgage over the property, we will ask you for:

1. Permission to speak to your mortgagee
2. Details of your mortgagee
3. Details of the amount you’re borrowing, or paying out

Legal disclosure

Some legal situations require us to give information about you to other parties. We may have to give information to:

1. A court (if we are served with a subpoena)
2. A party in a court action (if we are served with a legal notice)
3. The Queensland Law Society to defend a legal action
4. A government department that has power to obtain documents (such as the Australian Taxation Office or the Australian Securities and Investment Commission).

We want to keep your information accurate and up-to-date, so please let us know of any changes.

Keeping your information confidential

Any information you give to us is strictly confidential and our staff members are dedicated to your privacy.

We store your personal information in printed files and electronic files.

During your conveyance, electronic information is safely protected by our firewall, and your printed file is held in our secured offices. Once completed, your electronic information is archived and your printed file sent to an off-site secured location.

How do you access and correct information?

You can access your personal information, but you’ll have to pay our costs to retrieve your file.

Our mailing list

Your name and address might be on our mailing list to send out newsletters and special updates. Your details will only be used for this purpose. You can tell us if you don’t want to be on our mailing list.
